Sebastian Matthes has been the Chief Editor of HuffPost Germany since 2013. Before changing to the Burda Media Group in Munich, the economic journalist led the “technology and knowledge” department at the German business weekly Wirtschaftswoche in Dusseldorf. In this capacity, Sebastian intensively dealt with the internet, media innovations and renewable energies. For WirtschaftsWoche he developed the special magazine “Green Economy” as well as the internet portal WiWo Green. The native Berliner wrote for Financial Times Germany, FTD.de, the North German Broadcasting Corporation, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and its Sunday edition. In recent years, Sebastian has also been teaching as a docent at journalist schools and universities – such as the Hamburg Media School.
